Tire Rubber
Does anyone have a good suggestion on what sort of SSS settings to use for black rubber? (Like you might see on car tires or toilet plungers.)
I already know the color should be very dark (0.1, 0.1, 0.1), I just need to figure out what SSS values would be realistic.

Not a MALP, but it's sci-fi related.
'Plunger' should be a big hint.
I honestly have no idea what these SSS values mean, I've only ever used them before to get a foggy room... Could someone point me to a crash course on SSS? I looked in the manual, but it wasn't very clear to me. Perhaps I will give Zuani a PM. I just want it to look a LITTLE bit softer than that tire rubber.

Unfortiunately, there really isn't a materia;l guide. The indigo manual mainly covers the xml, but that isnt useful for people who use the ui...Lord of the Rings Junkie wrote:Not a MALP, but it's sci-fi related.'Plunger' should be a big hint.
