Simple Renderings Thread
Re: Simple Renderings Thread
nice one, Neo.
But a few things arent right:
* pins are too lage and too fat
* the parkett is usually not across the lane but in the direction of the lane (if u understand what i mean, hard to explain
)
* the parkett shouldnt have any bump, you wouldnt really want a bumpy bowlng lane. they are usually even and ploished (higher ior, higher exponent
)
* i think bowling lanes arent flat, but maybe im wrong. iirc thet have a little falloff on the side.
keep it up!

Re: Simple Renderings Thread
one of the best renders I've seen you do Neo.
Good use of DoF and camera angle/focal length
Agree with all of Fused' comments and I also would say subdivide the pins more - looking a bit chunky around the top.
Also the banding around the pin heads - part of the texture map?

This is a Indigo version of a free 3D scene over at oyonale.com The mesh can be seen here

Whilst I agree with your sentiments Meelis please watch your language
- its a public forum after all
You have been warned
walks off - casually throwing his weight around
edit: LOL thanks for changing that Meelis.
You could have also just changed some characters in the words as in 'that is f*&king amazing'. That would be sort of acceptable
