Big Fan, you should not delete your script so early. Give the peoples more time to download and test it.
Don't get discouraged by sparse comments from the peoples. On my own website sometimes i never got any answers from the peoples in our small community. But this do not keep me away from maintaining my website/forum.

ok here for a short time (a day or so) is an update of my variant
the zip file attach only has the script in it so you will need to have downloaded the previous test with the previews etc
I changed the DOF estimate from the previous because the formulas didnt seem to give sensible answers all the time... sorry
in the end it still works the same for users though..
hit the dof button to get the estimate printed in the blender console...
I added a small diagram below to show what values it returns.
where the dof is very small indeed it will show a message that all objects will be blurred.
where the distance to the subject is less than 10x the lens size the formula changes to 'close up' and gives a total DOF ( ie near + far)
there is a fudge factor built in to the calculations so that the fstop gives a blur that looks 'realistic' in the render. I think I have this about right now
ok the other refinement is that the dof estimate is now responsive to sensor size change as per real world photography.
to get the same dof with a larger sensor requires you to increase the fstop.
for instance if you set an fstop of 2 for a sensor of 9mm you will need to up the fstop to 8 for a 36mm sensor to get the same or very similar dof.
i.e. 36/9=4 2x4=8
the last addition is onos new watermark in the system options
EDIT: henyey-greenstein has been updated to be rgb input as per the last page of the PDF manual abs/sss table
it will use gamma 2.2 in ordinary input and gamma 1 with 'real data' mode
As usual this is a test version - any feedback welcome
EDIT: ok I suppose most people who had it before will have had an opportunity to download so it is removed
