1) It ИЕС files which look badly. Probably, it is better that they looked as in drawing.
2) Insufficient illumination in a room not to mention far corners which can be illuminated, by means of portals, and other problem that they cannot be hidden, and is the big minus. In MAXWELL, for example, I can shine a premise, having appointed, teg to a ceiling and light will pass through a ceiling though it too is physically correct.
3) It is the constant lighted areas of the sky, the Background which I establish, it is lighted contain with sun adjustment and so should not be.
4) It is necessary to disconnect smoothing Fong to 0 to clean black stains.
Here a photo from a window a sunlight and a room as we see is light enough. And in INDIGO it is completely not similar.
From what I understand, you're complaining that Indigo can't replicate those sorts of lighting conditions and you refer to your kitchen example.

Those shots look professionally lit, as in the light isn't all natural. I'm betting there are big softboxes just off camera and more than a little post production involved.

I do not complain I tell Indigo problems.
So indigo very much it is pleasant to me. But is more questions, than answers.
But you excuse me if I do not trust the camera that I I trust the eyes, and illumination
In my room well in any way on day it is not similar. And IES files. And impossibility to use hdr, and what for I should convert constantly them, start up it developers are engaged. The shade in general a nightmare to me should disconnect them from the sun.
Most of all me concealment of portals interests. If it is in Maxwell why should not be in Indigo. It turns out that I have 2 variants. It is a portal and the Sun.
But me of it a little I should have completely the control over illumination as I consider as that.

Not entirely sure what you are saying here, but if im getting it, you are saying that the light from the sky looks too uniform? Indigo will be getting clouds in the not too distant future.. Hopefully we will also be able to do things like physically correct sunsets.. With all the spectral colors and stuff..

You have the portal and the Sun. Then you also have any number, shape and color of emitters. Those shots are staged. That's probably not even real sunlight coming through the window but studio strobes. Think like a photographer. It's definitely possible with Indigo.

EDIT: Anyways, let's try to keep on topic, eh? This should not be in this thread. This is about awesome CG, not Indigo's supposed shortcomings.

Thanks.

I hate to sound like a dick, but can you guys continue this discussion elsewhere? And can someone who has the proper privileges delete all posts pertaining to this subject or move them to a different thread? (Including this post)

Sure... not to belittle the renderer, but in this case I would mention the artists first, the meshes and textures are the outstanding stuff.

For the 6 months im trying to achieve same neutral atmosphere in Indigo but it seem that its not possible due to indigo`s vidid tonemapping :)

The linear tonemapping should look dull compared with the camera responses, did you consider it in your tests dcm ? It's then all about balancing materials/textures values, your best option to have the final result under control.

The artist rocks, aye to this pic's mood.
