It actually means the contrary. people don't want to learn anything new unless it gives them any advantages of sorts, using a standard file requester is good since people use it all the time, they know from their guts how it behaves and what to expect from it, I bet this special indigo file requester wouldn't do any magic that would make it the ultimate file requester.

The goal with all of Indigo is to make the user interface intuitive for new users, so we'll be using existing GUI tools as much as possible, not reinventing the wheel.

Would it be possible to specify the default directory for the files then?
