That's THE water
http://www.indigorenderer.com/joomla/fo ... r&start=75
directly under each other, you can find all the schott glass (glass from REAL data) and right below, also water from real data
In that thread, there are many interesting mats... I wonder if some of them will also land in the new MatDB...

oh, I dunno... all those mats are rather complex and slowish... Tabulated spectrum is slower than normal R G B colours, SSS is used in the water as well as chromatic dispersion, which is one of the slowest features, available in Indigo
(although as I just see, chromatic dispersion is kinda disabled for this one.... strange...)

From México, Daniel Nieto .·.Thank you Kram, i was asking because the "water" preset material from Skindigo has SSS.Kram1032 wrote:Because water nearly doesn't have any scattering at all. It's barely visible
There IS scattering, but sooo shallow that you wont notice, usually.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sub_Surface_Scattering - just so you know what it actually is

Thank God i asked... i was using SSS because i though it was essential for caustics... but it was just a wast of Processing Power ;P
