Thanks to all for the nice comments!
one question: for white materials it's better to use pure white (255,255,255) or something like 220,220,220 to obtain less noise?

Really nice !
What's the CPU power behind this?
So far i havn't been able to produce images near to such quality even while rendering over night. I'm guessing, that this is not a single processor workstation. Right?

Hi suvakas,

u3dreal,
it's Rhino exported via lwo, and imported in Indigoexplorer.

I use a computer like yours as a workstation :) . We distribute all heavy tasks to a renderfarm. in this way we can doo high quality rendrings with low end hardware.
Hardware producers don't like this approach i think. The 50 xeon renderfarm today would cost about 10.000 Euro and it's faster (in specific tasks) as a 16 core Silicon Graphics wich costs about 500.000 Euro :)
