the only thing you need to change is the background light to:

Code: Select all

     <background>
      <spectrum>
         <rgb>
            <rgb>1 1 1</rgb>
         </rgb>
      </spectrum>
   </background>

Hm, I've exported it (with the Indigo 0.6test1 Blender exporter) to 0.6 XML file. I've uploaded to my site. The file is here. It's about 1 mb. I must say I have done all my tests before with 0.5 and even though it seems to work (the new 0.6 export, and the Indigo 0.6 itsselve) I don't know if the results will be different. I certainly hope not. I've rendererd it for about an hour, and it looks pretty much the same, so I think it'l work fine.

Hope you'l menage to render it eman!

I'm going to bed now, it's 10 pm and I need to get up early. Never saw that while I was typing, there were two posts in the meantime :P. Glad to know the difference in the 0.6 and 0.5 xml files is minimal. Now I can use old 0.5 xmls with the new 0.6 Indigo just by modifying them. Thanks.

Hope the render will be nice. :D Thanks a lot for the effort. Hope I can mean something for you or this community (like I made tutorials for Blender's community) in appreciation.

Haha, again while I was posting...perhaps I'm a real slow typer :P.

It's looking as it should I think! Cool!!! I certainly hope that the fella's hanging on the windowframe and the one on the stairs will be good visible in some more rendertime!

Ai, no, I don't think so... Isn't he done yet? Keeps it at low mutations?

can't you just change the current drive, like normal? (using the good ol' DOS C: command [for switching to the C drive]... ah, the windows generation. How quickly we forget our DOS commands, eh? :wink: )

My crit on the WIP: It appears that you should scale the bump mapping on the wall down a little. Its a tad too large. As mentioned, I think a bump map on the floor, to match the seams in the parquet wood floor, would be a nice touch.

The lampshade is just sweet, tho. I'd love to see some kinda tute on how you tweaked this component. (Can't wait for an SSS implementation in Indigo to handle something like this, eh?)

Wow, thanks a lot already eman7613, that render is already much better than my poor pc would menage :P he usually crashes before the image is grainless.

I hope the render you're doing now is going to be even better!

About the wall bumpmap, at my home the wall is as bumpmappish as this or perhaps worse, so persoanally I don't think that's off. I don't know how to give the floor a bumpmap, and the final image is already being rendered... so guess it's a but late for that.

Was the same time I post reply with you.

I must say the pics you posted before, guess those were made with 0.6 look better. They are a bit more green, but the light (from lamp to stairwayopening-top) look better than in the new 0.5 one.

Here is the older 0.6 render one, with a bit of post-pro by me.

Are you gonna leave it rendering? Should I do something?
