you continue to amaze, drBouvierLeduc :)

The diffuse and SSS blend is a good workaround for now, but i definitely will try and solve that problem soon.

How did you model the book? Are the pages planes or cubes?
Not sure if indigo allows non-3d objects (meaning just planes) of the material is non-transparent...

By the way Docteur, how did you make your softbody look so good? Mines always seem either to penetrate inside deflection objects at the edge, or they just seem to float above them. I can never make the cloth sit tight on the edge and surface of the table...
