Opera House - work in progress

Post by thednx » Thu Jul 21, 2011 10:11 pm

Hi,
after tinkering around a bit, I wanted to ask You guys if this has any potential / what You think of it.

Its supposed to turn out to be a opera house: a pretty modern one, not in the highly decorated one You might have come across till now ;-)

It is still in the beginning phase, just let me know if it stinks or if You think its going the right direction, and what You would add! PS: The second image isnt quite just right from the positioning, still working on that

THX!

interesting project - you might want to have a look at these photos for some ideas, especially the more modern ones: http://www.davidleventi.com/#/portfolio/opera/1
I print that guy's photos at the digital lab I work for. he has photographed a few circular prisons as well (there is some weirdly similar architecture in those types of buildings).
it's a little hard to critique your approach at this stage, but I would think about upping your seating capacity. it looks great from above but the side-view shows that you won't be fitting a whole lot of people in that space, if they all have to squeeze into those few box-seats. keep adding to it and see where it goes.
