Some info on tex_coord_generation

Post by subpixel » Wed Jul 28, 2010 12:09 am

Hello,

I would like to get some more info on "tex_coord_generation" tag. As I understand, it's modifying existing UV data for purpose of specific texture, or am I mistaken? Is it possible to add some tiling info (or rather remove tile behaviour)?
Are there any other tags other than: matrix and translation?

Thanks in advance,

Anyone? Any info on new XML tags. Technical reference, while very good source is a bit outdated.
Where could I find some info?

If you download Indigo (2.0.5 for the latest), you'll find a testscenes folder holding files wich are the best complement to the technical documentation as for now.

My guess is that the technical reference will be updated when the development work will become less intense, I'd use it too.

As far as I understood, the tex generation coord is only used in background emission textures in order to apply a rotation to the environment (as in background_material_test.igs).
