How to measure DoF? - Blender
How do you measure the distance from the camera to the object in focus accurately?

Also in Blender 2.43 if your using that version, under the editing tab for the camera...there is a button you can use next to the dof setting, it will draw a line in the 3d view and show where the dof setting is at focus.

it was under 2.41 and 2.42 but only when using Yafray. It's only since the defocus node was introduced in 2.43 that it's been accessable when using the internal renderer. And I believe it's only 2.43 that works with the exporter script "Blendigo" too.
