I searched the forum, and someone was using a phong shader for his. if thats of any help.

Seriously neO, OnoSendai implemented two mediums specificaly for skin simulation: dermis and epidermis; they are documented.

The only way I got them to work is if I used a blend material, composed of a a diffuse mat (skin color) + phong with epidermis medium. because alone all i get are black previews
EDIT: I'm running a bunch of tests now. Good thing it renders rather quickly. If I run into anything good. I'll post stuff. Skin shading seems to be quite complex, but yet it intrigues me, and I love complexity. So anyway, I'll probably be running tests for a few days. If I end up with multiple conclusive results might create some sort of wiki page with settings for good skin shaders and such. Anyway...it's too early to say.

Well im on sketchup and I cant see any material types called dermis.
