Seriously neO, OnoSendai implemented two mediums specificaly for skin simulation: dermis and epidermis; they are documented.

The only way I got them to work is if I used a blend material, composed of a a diffuse mat (skin color) + phong with epidermis medium. because alone all i get are black previews :(

EDIT: I'm running a bunch of tests now. Good thing it renders rather quickly. If I run into anything good. I'll post stuff. Skin shading seems to be quite complex, but yet it intrigues me, and I love complexity. So anyway, I'll probably be running tests for a few days. If I end up with multiple conclusive results might create some sort of wiki page with settings for good skin shaders and such. Anyway...it's too early to say.
