Shaving

Post by neo0. » Wed May 27, 2009 6:26 pm

As of late, I've become pretty dissatisfied with my remington electric shaver. Im thinking of switching to the gillete fusion and im wondering if somone here could give me some advice on the pros and cons of manual vs electric.

Here is what I currently don't like about going the electric route
1) It doesn't make me feel like a real man.. More like a 7th grader who just learned about growing a beard in sex ed class and immediately became alarmed at the idea.

2) It doesn't give you a close shave, more like the "Im bored of my job" look..

3) You have to charge it and if you don't, it causes well.. undesirable side effects..

4) I causes friction, resulting in razor burn

On the other hand, I've heard that straight razors take time to learn and i wonder what my girlfriend will think when she sees me with random cuts.. :o

Manual ones work just fine i think :)
I have had mine for a year or so and has not yet cut myself.... at least not more than once.

youre all wrong!

Real men dont shave at all!
(at some point they cut it down a bit)

edit: on topic - i dont use any electric shaver, doing it manually with a mach3. if youre good at it you will be a lot faster than with any electric shaver :)
plus its a lot more precise and and far more efficient! one stroke and all stubbles are gone. what i remember from back when i used an electric shaver is basically this:

*shaves*
oh there are some more hairs!
*shaves again*
*thinks is ready*
going out of the bathroom
girlfriend says:
"hey there are a lot hairs you missed!"
*shaves again*

and then... i miss the bus.

mach3 ftw!

edit:typos
