Yeah, here's the ivy leaf material used http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... 115#p97115, it's probably not perfect, uses diffuse_transmitter for fast sss.

Nice test render! I guess it took some time to render it because there is no noise on the image.

Hmm not long really, maybe 1.5 hours, hdri stuff is pretty quick, specially if there are no super bright points. (phenom x4 9950) Anyway, orange juice has little chunks in it sometimes so the noise doesn't really matter that much =P

Modeled this yesterday afternoon in between some things and let it render overnight.
14h, 1300spp and still quite noisy :S

EDIT: That might be because of the double-paned windows and loads of grass...

I like it. I think the contrast is pretty much on par with an evening photograph. Perhaps from a design perspective it would be good to reduce the brightness of the light under the house making the whole image less contast-y, it kind of draws your eye right away.

ps. Is the background a hdri? Free? Shareable? =P

EDIT: Thought I would go with the evening theme:

Niiiice, I'm a sucker for paper lanterns. The floor is a bit flat, though (har har, isn't it supposed to be?) but the color tones are very nice.

The background for my rendering IS an HDRI, unfortunately not free :( It's one of Peter Guthrie's awesome HDRIs at http://3docean.net/ (not bad prices there, I grabbed about 3-4 HDRIs and just reuse them all the time so it pays off). It's pretty much a flat blue color though, just with some cloudiness so it's not completely boring.

Just for fun. Used some planes with tree alphas for some shadows.
