Indigo doesn't start

Post by Cato » Thu Feb 23, 2012 5:31 am

I use blender 2.61, Blendigo 3.2.6.0 and Indigo 3.2.6 (also tried with 3.2.2 and 3.0.14). The path to Indigo 3.2.6 is correct, but every time I try to render, I get the message: "Unsupported version v2.2.12; Cannot start indigo with this scene".
What could this mean?

Perhaps check in the user settings
Panel in blender if the Blendigo version you have installed is really 3.2.6.
I usually work on a Mac but helped another user out recently and came across an issue. The Blendigo installer place it in C:/Program Files/Blender Foundation/Blender/2.6.2/.....
That was before 2.6.2 was out, so naturally in Blender 2.6.1 still the old Blendigo was active.

Thanks for helping.
I work with OSX 10.5.8 and I installed the Blendigo manually into addon folder.

The real strange thing is: I tried rendering for many times (not only today) before I asked in the forum, but the first try after my posting was successful..... It's nearly mysterious.

But now there's another thing: Only sun and hemi are accepted as light sources.

IIRC Sun and Hemi are the only Blender specific light sources that have a Indigo function mapped to them (Sun = Indigos Sun/Sky
And Hemi is for HDRI maps)
For other light sources you will have to assign a Indigo emitting material to a mesh (keep it simple).
