I came across this paper which I thought would be of interest. It describes an algorithm to simulate optical dispersion in a dielectric of a thickness similar to that of the wavelength of visible light.

Ono Maxwell has thin films and coatings...i think its very important for complex and non ususal materials...like....perl for example..what u think?i believe its a Must Have coatings....
