Car lights-emit spheres inside them-problem-how to solve it?

Post by Nordrik » Mon Mar 31, 2008 9:28 am

Hi, i came up against big problem. I've created a model of dodge challenger and now i want to create more realistic lights - so had put a lot of small spheres into my glass lights (they're not planes). Afterward i've set them to emit light etc. But they are shown as black spheres without material. Any idea?

Perhaps you should raise the power of the emitters. The sun is not easy to beat

... or check your normals

yep... check your normals.
Don't just flip them though... go into blender and select 'draw normals' in the edit pane, and make them a size that can be seen easily.

Nice model BTW... car looks sweet!

Try removing the glass and seeing if you can see the lights directly.

Still nothing. Here's link to the .blend file http://www.speedyshare.com/524266284.html file with lights and emit material. Could you find it out?[/i]
