Changing "Random number seed"

Post by rgigante » Thu Aug 03, 2006 11:28 pm

Hi folks,

lookin around i've noticed that the "Random number seed" in the first row of the log it never changes running different rendering on different CPU. Why? Shouldn't change each time i invoke indigo?
Moreover i suppose that the random seed affects the final images in the following way. To be clearer i think that the position of the fire-flyes in the final image depends on the underlying geometry (obvious) and on the "Random Seed". Changing the random seed would change the relative position of the fire-flyes letting a better composition of final images...

How far i'm from the solution Nick?

PS...'m not drunk today ;))

Heya rgigante,

at this point Indigo is using a different seed number for coop only,
I guess Nick will change this in the future ... now it's a lil bit 1337 ...

:P :D :D :D :D ;)
