How many thread I must use with an Intel i7 processor ?

Just wondering... (i'm not that rich yet, but who knows...one day?...)

What if you have a multiprocessor motherboard that supports 4 quad-processors...

=> Can Indigo have the 16 threads work at the same time?

i7's are quad cores.. there is no such thing as an 8-core processor, yet.

Yes but as I told before, the i7 is hyperthreaded - so it's acutally 8 threads
