Graphics Card for INDIGO

Which Graphics Card should i bay, AMD or NVIDIA? i was thinking GTX 660 Ti, but AMD for that money, i can by HD 7950, Or should i buy qaudro, but for that money, there is no good qaudro, please help..

The 660ti might be more versatile if you are going to use other renderers just because CUDA implementation seems to be a lot more streamlined. If you want to use Octane you will require a nvidia card.

Personally I went with an overclocked 7950 which was the same price as a 660ti with more ram and more speed (mhz) and plenty of headroom for more overclocking. Not to mention the lower power draw.

Depending what kind of work you do with indigo you might have no benefit adding a GPU, but it really is scene dependent - I can get 2x-3x as many spp on some scenes using a 7950 (ref. cpu 3770K). If most of your work requires bidir or MLT it might be worth adding another CPU.

For games I would go with the 7950 with good cooling and overclock :D
