Re: EXR with lights
Actually you can, but the light output is probably very different (your sky is probably much much more powerful than lights), and you are probably using Reinhard Tonemapping, which auto-exposes the scene. Then when you switch on the sky, the tonemapper reduces exposure a lot, making the visible output of other lights close to zero. A little bit as if you try to look at stars during the day. I think this is the n°1 question on Indigo forums! There should be a FAQ...

Re: EXR with lights
<faq>EXR come most often individually with an arbitrary emission power. There is one light source in Indigo that comes with a calibrated power: the sun/sky system.
Use it to calibrate your lights and camera exposure, then, replace the sun/sky with your HDRI and adapt it's power to the newly calibrated lights.</faq>
Off course you can ignore this stage and do a relative lighting setup, but you may then miss a point and keep bumping into similar issues issues.
Oh and I second galinette: learning/setting lighting in Indigo with the Reinhard tonemapping turned on will turn you crazy !
