Yeah, Vray is the industry standard right now, hands down. Second place would go to Maxwell. I haven't seen Fryrender used that much among the bulk of the pro work out there...
Ya funny, there's no
fryrender mentioned anywhere. I'm trying to get a idea how these render engines relate to each other.
Indigo is pretty nice, there is absolut photo-realism possible with it, especially when I look at
dcm or
bertrands posts. The
fryrender forum features some really great images too and I think some of the artists are not real full-time pros. But
Maxwell was the first render that got my attention. But its super-expensive (for a hobbyist) and the demo is not really fun to use and there is no blender exporter.
VRay looks biased to me, like a super-advanced version of yafaray. Nice white walls, that are possible to achieve with.
