How to model a blister package
There are no holes in wings. All models are closed. What you probably did was to use intrude. Did you actually looked at the model that I provided? I you have separated model for top part (transparent plastic) and bottom (aluminum foil) then there is no closing holes. You just model the bottom part using the same principles.

Well, you were not suppose to do that for the whole length of the process.
I thought it was obvious that you were suppose to deselect all faces at the end of 4.Woodie wrote: 4. select the top and bottom faces and use "Inset"
5. Select the top inside faces and Extrude by normal (Separated not Region)
