IndigoDriverExcep

Post by tony » Sat Jun 07, 2008 5:20 am

I am loading a salon9.igs file in indigo. It works well in graphical and console mode.

I want to do networking. I put the folder "escena" with the igs and textures "shared".

I write C:\indigo_v1.0.9_3>indigo.(exe o _console.exe) \\192.168.0.128\escena\salon9.igs" -n wm -t 2

and I get the following error:

IndigoDriverExcep:SceneLoaderExcep: failed to open XML doc from path
'\\192.168.0.128\escena\salon9.igs':Failed to open file.

and in the log:

SSE present.
SSE2 present.
SSE3 present.
Using base Indigo directory path ''.
Scene file path: '\\192.168.0.128\escena\salon9.igs'
Using working directory path '\\192.168.0.128\escena'.
Loading Scene '\\192.168.0.128\escena\salon9.igs'...

What might be the problem?

Greetings

the win network (using \\) doesn't work with an ip... you need to share the folder you want to use in the network and then use \\pc-name\path\scene.igs

I believe I said that:
1. I shared folder.
2. I called to file with \\ip\scene(shared)\archivo.igs

This rendering is done with two computers, master (also working) and slave:
master = \\ip_master\scene\test.igs -n wm -t 2
slave = -s n \\ip_master -t 2
through a router

but the file salon9.igs continues to give me the same mistake that opened the post.

render time: 20 m.

Use HOSTNAME instead of IP address...

IP address should work just as well as hostname -- if not better. What about Indigo, you are using the same version on all machines?

Wait, you're right. I knew that :)

Try this to test:
Start -> Run.. -> "\\192.168.0.128\escena\" and hit enter

you should get an explorer window to that path if the machine can resolve the UNC

cpfresh:

Yes is the same version on two machines.

The problem is to upload the file on the master. This file load perfectly normal mode (not networked).

Let me give objects in different layers and make incremental exports to see where the fault may be:

-- Whether en path from textures
-- Huge file,
-- Etc. .....

Greetings.

I have already managed to load my scene complete salon.igs network.

I changed the names of folders textures to other shorter, it seems that the network has trouble with long names, I reviewed the route of textures and optimize the vertices of the mesh.

The commands were:

master: indigo_console.exe \\192.168.0.128\salon\salon.igs -n wm
slave: indigo_console.exe salon.igs -n s -h 192.168.0.128

Thank you all.
