Excellent work!
I agree with that motionblur issue; maybe you should invest a little money in applications which can export motion vector data from 3D scenes (RPF-/ RLA-sequences) which you can postprocess with third party plugins... unfortunately, all commercial.
But it's worth that; especially in junction with these great lighting results from Indigo.
Same to the DOF; gaussian blur is not the way. If you have access to After Effects, I'll recommend "frischluft lenscare" (http://www.frischluft.com/lenscare/index.php) for the DOF. It's fast and produces believable results.
What I want so say is, that with professional postpro tools, you can give this great animation what it deserves.
Great job!

Re: Cairo scorcher (animation)
This is already possible with Blender layers rendering and nodes editor in post-processing Indigo images. Again, I used motion blur switched to the minimum, don't judge the effect on what you see in this video.I agree with that motionblur issue; maybe you should invest a little money in applications which can export motion vector data from 3D scenes
Re: Cairo scorcher (animation)
So, I take it this kind of thing isn't really doable on a single machine?
Re: Cairo scorcher (animation)
Not really, unless this is a quite fast machine. I think a single Intel i7 is capable of doing this in about 10-15 days.

Which means it would take a q6600 about 20-30 days (according to some other benchmarks posted on the forums)SATtva_ wrote:Not really, unless this is a quite fast machine. I think a single Intel i7 is capable of doing this in about 10-15 days.
