Cannot render

Post by Latetzki » Sun Feb 07, 2010 8:09 am

So I tried to apply this to my model: http://www.indigorenderer.com/materials/materials/286

I created new material (SU's material editor), named it, and loaded that new ceramic material in Indigo material editor. Then clicked part of the model with paint tool and material should be applied now, right? However, then I can't render the scene. Nothing happens when I click render button. It works after I remove all the materials.

I'm probably/ofcourse doing something wrong, so please help.

Hi,
There is currently a bug in SkIndigo that prevents proper loading of this material and causes the scene not to render. What you have to do after you load it is change the material type for 'base-ceramic' to Phong. (SkIndigo loads it incorrectly as a Metals material)

This material is procedural but it requires UV coordinates. Therefore, your SketchUp material must have a texture map applied to it so that the proper UV coordinates will be exported.

Try loading a texture image (for example an image of tile) and set the height and width of the texture to 10cmx10cm using the SketchUp material editor.

Then, it should work. At least, it did for me. :)
