Hi everyone,
Just getting in to using Indigo and have come across this error - hopefully someone can help!
Basically I can't get my render to work when using environment mapping - i get the following error:
Error: Scene parsing error: Failed to parse integer from ''. (In element 'diffuse', around line 63, column 5)
Using Indigo 3.0.10 64bit (mac) and SkIndigo 3.0.10b.
The error occurs when rendering from Skindigo or exporting and loading directly into Indigo. I've removed all textures and tried it that way - no joy. Also yes, I am using a .exr file as required.
Using the normal 'sun and sky' works fine.
I've searched and searched but have had no joy - any ideas?
Thanks!
Error using environment mapping
Re: Error using environment mapping
Probably it is a SkIndigo issue, so move it into the correct location
..btw, I don't know what can be. We have to wait for Whaat.
You did a good job in isolating the problem and confirm it is environment related.

Re: Error using environment mapping
Well thanks for the reply anyway! Can an admin move this to the SkIndigo support?
I'll wait patiently for whaat!

Re: Error using environment mapping
Update: I had a poke around in the IGS exported by SkIndigo and for some reason the layer value for the environment map isn't being exported. I stuck a '0' in there and it works perfectly!
I don't know if this is a quirk with my installation or not (can anyone replicate?), but it's definitely a SkIndigo issue so this thread should be moved.
It's a bit annoying having to export>edit>load for each render, but it'll do for now!

Re: Error using environment mapping
I see in you screenshot that you have sun/sky on layer0 and environment map in layer1. This thing you report is a SkIndigo bug for sure. Though, you can avoid the issue considering that it is not currently possible to use sun/sky together with an environment map, so there is no reason to put env map on layer1. Switch it to 0 and it should work fine.
I read that Whaat implemented the non-export of unused light layers: maybe this little bug is related to this enhancement.

Re: Error using environment mapping
Nothing to do with that unfortunately - I just took the screenshot whilst in the middle of trying different combinations to see if they make any difference!
There are radio buttons on the left to select the environment you want, so any other settings shouldn't make a difference anyway - but worth a try.
The value for layer is simply missing from the xml:
I'm guessing it'll be an easy fix, and not the end of the world for now. Thanks for your help - I'm having great fun with Indigo, and getting some pretty cool results!
