Well, yeah... :p
Thats all I have so far... the desk is accurate in scale.
I have a couple of questions... Idiot ones :p
I have the emit on the lamp up fully, but yet my scene is not as bright as I want it... is there a way to further brighten the scene? (while keeping the one lamp)
Also, how can I make the screen brighter, assuming A texture can't be used as an emmiter.

experiment with tonemapping settings, for example:
<tonemapping>
<reinhard>
<pre_scale>1</pre_scale>
<post_scale>3</post_scale>
<burn>0.5</burn>
</reinhard>
</tonemapping>
Also, how can I make the screen brighter
higher the texture gain. (tip from u3dreal)

Ah, ok, thanks.
For reference:
Ive decided to scrap the current room, and start again from scratch. Too many small anomalies.

I really like the lamp, great effect.
Did you make a non transparent hood and then have a "lightbulb" emitter inside?
"To be, or not to be" That is a question?

Yeah, the shade is a mesh (diffuse material) and then a light bulb sized mesh emitter inside it.
EDIT: Added a chair to the scene, which will be redone...again :p Oh, and the start of a lappy.

wow! nice!

Is everything in your scene mesh emitters? I mean the lamps and the window? Are you using reinhard or linear tonemapping?
If linear, which values are you using?

Looking good so far.
Take your computer step by step, and you'll get it.
My box looks like this:
Though, that's an older pic.
I'm in process of doing a "My Room" thing too, but mine won't be nearly as neat as yours.

those are amazing results for Reinhard's automatic values! well done!
In my case Reinhard tends to make my scenes look too dark. What values are you using in pre/post scale and burn?
oh yes, and is your window a mesh emitter as well? or is it sunlight comin in?
keep it up!
