More glasses from MoI

Post by cpfresh » Sat Sep 01, 2007 3:58 pm

I've been exploring 3 different things with this setup, MoI modelling, EXR backgrouds, and the fluid characteristics.

MoI was a pleasure and pretty easy when creating the glasses. I will try my hand at another object soon. The EXR gave an interesting result ... do they not cast shadows or is the EXR I've used just weak? It's the 'pisa.exr' which I got from one of the links posted in the EXR HDRI thread. Lastly, trying to make some orange juice was/is kind of tricky! I think I may have succeeded in creating some pineapple juice at best. The consistency of the fluid was difficult and still needs work. I was experimenting with the cauchy b coef as well as the scattering spectrum ... very interesting.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this image. I have really enjoyed Indigo.

nice, looks quite realistic, just needs to be cooked for longer and eveyrthing will fall into place

well it looks like the EXR doesn't have a strong light source, more like cloudy day

isnt the exr you use ufizi.hdr ;-) i think it is and gives not sharp shadow because of cloudy sky. try some hdr made with Terragen. Those include sun. Nice modeling btw.
