ohhh, a new Indigo Car... nice :D

I shoud finish my Wildcat model, the whole 0.7 Test releases are big Time Bandits,
but I love to play around with them

I'm interested in your plans for the carpaint in c4d...
carpaint does some pain in the a** to realize in C4D for me
The new Dermis/Epidermis stuff could be perhaps somehow used to get some nice carpaint done in Indigo

BTW:
the Blender Art mag just released a new issue focusing on Car modeling in Blender >>link<<

im not sure if i render it in C4D or not... but a decent frensel in the color channel gives a nice look. but its really hard to get a realistic looking render.

this is why i will use indigo :P

talking about car modelin workshops, i think this one is great (if not the best ive ever found, german though): http://www.lacreme.de/index.php?sektion=uebersicht

Wowow YES !

:D

[EDIT] do you plan to put the headlights on ? I would love to see that, but realistic headlights modeling is quite challenging too ;)

kickass wire!!! and beautiful model

(the render could have more color-contrast ... you know ... blue in blue)

I'm very curious to see the lights...

Do you model an interior two? And, is it an electric or a fuel car? (I just thought about the exhaust.)
Let's take up time. ;) Better have a nearly perfect result (absolutely perfect is impossible) and need extra time, than reversed...

thanks guys...

yeah i will definitley take my time on this one (i have a lot of time these days). i thought about an interior too but im not sure if i do that on this car (its not even ready and ideas keep coming for the next and the next after the next...)

its a fuel car (and a real monster with lots of horse powers :D ), but it might be a hybrid

and yes, it will definitely have headlights... but they will be one of the last thigs i do. im still more concerned about the doors and the back of the car

and im currently rendering this:

This is really a fantastic 'kinetic' car design.
It could be the next Alpha Romeo GT model !
Have you tried applying an Alpha logo in the grill? It should fit.

I know this is a WIP and you are focussing mostly on the modelling part, but i think that those preliminary renderings could use some toning down
of the blue range.
I tried this on that last picture, i hope you don't mind messing with your image ;)

hehehe, nothing bad!!! It's just that latest number of blenderart magazine is dedicated to car modeling and I thought you (and others) would be interested ;)
http://www.blenderart.org/
There's an exercise on modeling a car rim that looks very similar to yours so maybe others can take advantage from it and your Indigo rendering experience.

cheers,
Alvaro
