Hehe, thanks!

That looks really awesome :O Only thing is that you can see the polygons/faceting from the specular reflection, needs more subdivision

I will do a new render when I get the carbon material working properly. Perhaps one of you dev's could take a look at it? Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

If you can make a simple (small file size) test scene showing the problem, would help a lot

Hell yeah Oscar!
Could you tesselate the body a little bit more so that the reflections don't show so many edges?
The retouch artist would really appreciate such!
Cheers, zeiti

The UV-mapping is getting a little distorted using the procedural carbon fibre from the material database. The first pic is using that material, and the second pic is a render using an ordinary carbon texture, which renders perfectly straight.

thats subdiv uv artifacts, the happen when you have big polygons close to small one...
You need to do some more uniform subdiv my hand in that area first to prevent/minimize them

Thanks Zom-B, but it actually turned out to be a noise function in the ISL code that intentionally created some irregularities in the material.

Here's the final version with a smoothed mesh and carbon fibre.

Thanks guys!
Here's something I threw together this evening using a 3D model that was given to me by a guy called Ghilas Hardgeek over at Blender Artists. Not too happy with the composition, and the way the doors interfere with the buildings, but ah well.
