I agree I haven't used an "average" value as I stated, but the highest acceptable (plausible) exposure for my hardware.
I believe that people non initiated to 3d graphics would take that for a picture !

Hey volks,
i hope this one is more brighter, the same pic as the last but i editet with the tonemapper gui
Whitebalance from E50 -> F2 looks a bit colder,
Prescale from 1 to 2.3
..

did you realize that the reflections in the window near the camera are sharp but the rest of the window is blurred? is this correct?
..
this was just a test, i will bring back the sun from upstairs and the advertisement will be on a other position. i agree the ground is too reflective - i will change it with a spec map so there would some dirty parts that are more diffuse.
i higher res version will come then the scene is done ;o)

Yes it is, what matters is the distance to the object; a reflect doesn't make an object closer

There already seem to be some kind of exponent-map (at least bump-map) on the side of the train. You can see it where the light reflects. The reflections are not uniform. That adds a lot of realism.

thats right but the bump didnt make the effect it should, i want it to be more smooth with "waves" like real metallic planes behave

But the flat angle may cause problems... dunno...
(I mean the flat angle of sight)
