Very nice, but the lettering on the books looks a bit funny :)

The plain room/cutout windows are only placeholders - I plan on doing a complete scene with this, don't worry  .

The blankets and pillows look convincingly soft!

A couple of random renders and a short animation in anticipation of the GPU version, just for fun test, I missed out a decent chunk at the start. I will re-render it with a better texture when I can speed it up with the gpu. Only 300SPP/frame.

Grass!

Sucks that adding 100 000 instances raises the file size from 4 Mb to ~27 Mb .

Seems you never rendered 500MB of CAD based 3D data in Indigo ^^... THIS is painful XD
Anyway, great scene... simple components but very well combined!!

Oh I definitely have, just thought that instancing wouldn't push up the filesize up that much, but I guess it makes total sense with that many instances :)

The most I had for an arch viz scene was something like 30 million polys, I think. Damn foliage!

oh well I get ya wrong, thought about mesh file size -.-'

But heavy instancing is quite a killer for a big igs file... did some grasstests too some time ago... my fault here was to have 5 different blades of grass and instancing them all over the place. igs was over 200mb ^^

Put my bedroom scene on hold for a bit to work on an entry for the Evermotion competition. Stuff on the shelves is just a placeholder, obviously.
