actually i didnt care how much spp was in your render, my problem with it was that it was half black and clearly not close to finished being rendered. This is a "Simple renderings thread" but its implied that they are finished or at least somewhat close to and yours wasnt.

as for your colorful choice of folder names well...that

Doug, it ceases being cute after about the hundredth instance of practised ignorance. Those who chide ne0 for has repeated displays of said ignorance do so for good reason and I do not see that encouraging it is in any way constructive as ne0 is not a child that needs to be guided he is an adult that needs to wake up and engage his brain.

I can only speak for myself but I would wager that those that repeatedly remind ne0 of his persistent erroneous behaviour do not dislike the man, rather they find the man's behaviour embarrassing and would simply desire that ne0 learn from his mistakes.
Well you could do what I do when I find a post annoying - move on to the next one?

Does this forum have a ignore option?

If Neo is abusing this forum I'm sure that Benn or Ono will deal with it but for me his posts aren't causing me any sleepless nights. As to his age I haven't got a clue and could care less. Personally I skip most of his posts - but there does seem to be a not too pleasant attitude building here against him that I find a bit distasteful.

Look I'm no fan of Neo - just that his 'annoying' posts arre pretty banal and tame compared to most other forums out there - I'm just trying to put out some perspective here.

All this chatter just gets us away from the purpose of Indigo forums - making images....

Yes they are baked textures, in fact two blended materials with displacement, oren-nayar and phong. There are 5 textures used atm.

Example pigm attached.

Neo0. I'm sorry, but i refuse to "Give Neo0 a break", that would be like watching a man trip over the same rock everyday for 3 years, finally trying to help the man by removing the rock from the path. Then watching him put the rock back into the middle of the path and trip over it so as not to break from his tradition of stupidity. I WANT TO HELP THE MAN, BUT HE'S JUST TO STUPID TO LEARN. (*note the man in this story may or may not represent Neo0 of "IndigoRenderer" Forum community and I, matsta, therefore cannot be held responsible for people naturally replacing said users name with "Man")

You post a crappy, unfinished, badly composed and hatefully boring scene (yet again), but this time instead of putting it in a nice quite WIP thread you post it in the most popular and viewed thread on the site. I remind you the topic of said thread is not "Crappy, unfinished, badly composed and boring renders thread" it is "Simple Renderings Thread". It has been graced over the years with such gems as http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/dow ... hp?id=2894 and http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/1595/krugqc1.jpg. See these images, while simple and clean, are finished and great to look at. Something almost none of your images ever are. Then when people try to help you, you ignore them or try argue your, usually incorrect, side of things. I now realise why your work hasn't gotten any better over the few years you have been using/spamming/cluttering these forums. ITS BECAUSE YOU DONT LISTEN OR LEARN FROM THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE OR, for that matter, THE MISTAKES OTHERS MAKE.

If someone (referring in most cases to someone who knows alot more than you) tells you that this image does not belong in this thread. JUST LISTEN, and move it. Don't argue, don't get smart (actually I wont discourage self improving brain activity in your case), just do as you are told.

It boggles my mind that you are older than me... it really does.
You don't do the stereotypes that most people have of American's any favours.

Kind Regards (Hopefully for the last time)

Whilst most of what you say is probably correct - I have to say that the manner you say it is frankly just rude.

I don't know about NeO but I for one will no longer post here, unless I have a technical/bug query, if this 'witchhunt' continues.

You may be right that NeO's work is far from perfect but I have to say that the frankly immature way some of you guys are dealing with it is pathetic.

If he insults your sensibilities so much - report him or better yet just ignore him.

Some of you seem to think hes does it on purpose? Maybe he does in which case he's a very clever troll. And what should you do with trolls? Don't feed them

Now I'm gonna take some of my own advice and ignore any more comments on this and try and act the maturity my years afford me.

Yo, nice render on the link!

OK, this is my last attempt to help Neo0, because imo, everybody can progress by the moment they make the effort to understand and accept that they are maybe (see, i did not say that you were wrong... don t make me say what i did not say) wrong

here are a couple of screenshots of my computer : Sketchup settings, Indigo rendering at 2 phases, and my already 2 years old NOTEBOOK that i use for everything, work, studies, playing etc... and it seems that either this good old Asus G1 from 2008 is faster than your computer what i doubt cuz nowadays we build much stronger comps than mine, also notebooks, OR MAYBE, you have seted something wrong in your settings, but i don t think

I'm not taking you for an idiot, but it seems that if we don t make essential things directly appear to your eyes, you don t understand nuances and essences of sentences (yay i should write poetry...)

Read comments of each image.

Sorry guys for this Off topic message, i thought it might help our indigo user to stop burning our eyes, with some gentle technical support.

EDIT
ahem, sorry for the image size, forgot to resize, gonna do it right now

anyway, let s render and forget all this now.
