Just for the sake of reference ;)

Seeing both I would say that a) the Cinema's render engine have gone a major revision, b) cindigo allows the user to easily get the cinema presets.

This is only half done, but the geometry is so simple it didn't seem worthwhile to finish it.

A spent hours trying to model a golf ball. I don't know if in some 3D apps, there is a menu "add/golf ball", but in Blender, there isn't. And I found out it was not so easy to model as I thought.

Here are my two attempts. Oh, I know, the tee really not looks like a real tee :D

Any crit is welcome.

Second attempt next to the first one. This time, I can say I'm happy :)

First attempt, I was pretty happy but the ball was not so convincing.

zomb:

It's amazing, your render was cut off just below the leaves and I was like WHOA that looks awesome.

It looks slightly less awesome when you can clearly see the bottom :D

Just learning how to use Blender's physics simulator by getting M&M's in a glass container.

I haven't quite mastered glass. Every time I try to render glass, I always end up with strange artifacts or distortions such as ribbed effects or noise. I've read the manual, read through threads, learned all kinds of useful information which has helped a little, but I'm still fighting oddities with glass. I've seen many beautiful glass renderings by Indigo, but have yet to discover the magical formula for myself.

I also need to work on lighting. My strategy now: put several meshlight planes in random locations. (Or use sunlight.) In the end, I have a scene with light, but it always ends up looking harsh.

I've been working with Blender and Indigo for a couple of months and still have a long way to go before becoming the artist I aspire to be.
