Just for the sake of referenceZomB wrote:Just a render of a new GI testscene from the C4D11 Demo, coked over night...

Seeing both I would say that a) the Cinema's render engine have gone a major revision, b) cindigo allows the user to easily get the cinema presets.

A spent hours trying to model a golf ball. I don't know if in some 3D apps, there is a menu "add/golf ball", but in Blender, there isn't. And I found out it was not so easy to model as I thought.
Here are my two attempts. Oh, I know, the tee really not looks like a real tee
Any crit is welcome.

- Second attempt next to the first one. This time, I can say I'm happy :)

- First attempt, I was pretty happy but the ball was not so convincing.

Just learning how to use Blender's physics simulator by getting M&M's in a glass container.
I haven't quite mastered glass. Every time I try to render glass, I always end up with strange artifacts or distortions such as ribbed effects or noise. I've read the manual, read through threads, learned all kinds of useful information which has helped a little, but I'm still fighting oddities with glass. I've seen many beautiful glass renderings by Indigo, but have yet to discover the magical formula for myself.
I also need to work on lighting. My strategy now: put several meshlight planes in random locations. (Or use sunlight.) In the end, I have a scene with light, but it always ends up looking harsh.
I've been working with Blender and Indigo for a couple of months and still have a long way to go before becoming the artist I aspire to be.
