Well.. it works :)
I think the best way is to change your tonemapping parameters.
Are you using Reinhard tone mapping? If so try decreasing the burn value.

Hehe, this method is very easy :)
Yes I used reinhard. I will decrease Burn value to 8-9 . see you at next render...

Code: Select all

  <tonemapping>
       <reinhard>
           <pre_scale>1</pre_scale>
           <post_scale>1</post_scale>
           <burn>15</burn>
       </reinhard>
   </tonemapping>

argh you dont need to rerender! just make it a habit of saving an IGI with your render so you can tonemap after rendering in Violet.
but i like the last one better cuz its punchy.
id much rather live in the second one than the first one, though i know its the same scene.

much better (especially the brighter version) :D
One question: Did you change the sun direction?

If not, it's related yet again on changed render settings...

No, I didn't changed. Only brignest and contrast are increased with image editor.

no, I don't mean between the darker and the brighter version, but between the path-tracing and the MTL version :)

ok, then, it's fine :)
(there where some jumping sun issues in the past, where the sun-position changed, if you switched between BiDir and no BiDir and yet again BiDir + exitportals....

Does it make sense if burn is higher than prescale ? In my mind, any burn value above prescale has no effect (ie burn is disabled).

:?:

By the way Hasan, welcome and wow !
