I'm rendering a Big Daddy from Bioshock I've got a problem as you can see in these very noisy pictures. In the first one i've two meshlights lighting up the scene but when i add the glowy eyes it all turns black

. In the second one i've got two meshlighs lighting up the scene but i want the eyes or what they're called to glow but then somehow the light from the meshlights is ignored and everything gets black except the eyes anyone know how to fix it

?

I found it on Facepunchstudios Credits go to FluxMage for the model.

I was a real pain to get him into Blender......... And i suck at rigging i've only rigged the arms and the head and his neck but the arms are only useable the head and neck is too poorly rigged. And i don't know if i can release the .blend file don't if it's legal

. Here's an 1 hour render but i still want the glowy eyes but don't know how need to lower the bump value too.....

it looks very low poly and poor textured.....try some hi res textures....for the glowing eyes u can use some emmiter materials with desired color and after u can add some bloom as post p in violet or other image pros prgm...

Well that's the thing i wanted an answer for because it's lit with emitters but when i make the eyes be emitters too the whole scene turns black.

are you using linear- or reinhard tone mapping?
if your eyes are too bright and you use reinhard, they'll make all the other light in the scene too dark
if they're too dark, they'll render black.
You need to tweak and tweak and tweak and....

The "whole sceen turns black" issue is because your eyes are too powerful emitters. Reduce their power by tenfold, and try rendering again.

alternatively, you could render your image in 2 different files,
one for each set of lights, and composite in post. With linear exr-files,
you would also know what adjustment you would have to do in the future, probably

Yeah i thought of that too but i think i'll keep on rendering with one file and i'll see if i like it as i already mentioned i've solved the black screen thing. I'll post a new test render hopefully later today.

Here's a new render i rendered this with higher resolution textures and a new bump map but i forgot to change the value

. Well there's still stuff to do i should get that drill fixed the textures get's all twitched when i add subsurf to it need to figure something out to fix it. I forgot to save the igi in the newer image, so i had to test bloom on a noisier image. Forgot to mention that i've fixed these ugly plate eyes they're now connected to the body and not outside.

It's starting to look good now IMO. I've made a new render i think i'll render this for the finished artwork if its not too shabby, still noisy but you can clearly see the things that i've fixed.

Bloom post pro, looks a bit weird propably from all the noise.
