Stormy Game -- Chess

Post by Colezero » Wed Jan 31, 2007 5:00 am

This is a little scene i was working on in the last few days.
This was completly modeled in Blender 2.42a and rendered in Indigo 0.6.

Modeling time: about 2h 30min.
Rendering time: 2h 34min.

Hope you like it.

Hi Colezero,

welcome here, the scene is great, it seems to be alive, I like the chaos in the piece here!
Some suggestions / remarks / idea:

Try another lighting.
Try a little depth of field.
Improve the material.
Try improving the dynamic of the game, (I mean not everything up or down), but some pieces falling down for example.

Please keep on, this will be a great scene! :D

Regards, Phil

thx phil and kwistenbiebel.
First i wanted to create a sunset lighting, but i admit that i need to change it.
And i want to add some DoF, but first i need to figure out how it works in indigo, but DoF will be in the scene.

I've already made some changes and iam currently rendering a new one.

and thx for the suggestions.

Here are another 3 Renders:
The lightning ist still very poor, so i haven't work on the lighting.
I just want to make the scene more dynamic as Phil suggested.

So ignore the Lightnung and the Dof, which is also poor ;).
thx.

Maybe there ist to much "movement" in the scene, but have a look an tell me.

Thx..still working on it.

here are 2 more Renders, no big changes, just working on some DoF.
And i added a bit more chaos to the scene, hopefully not to much
Now i need to create a better lighting.

EDIT:
I must admit that i like this picture more, because of the dynamic, it looks better than the last one.

So i keep working on this one, should i use a sun-lamp or background lighting? What is better?
Thx for any comment or advice/suggestion.
