Simply stuff that isn't this way in RL... and thats something you aim for, right?!
- How about some windows, with (sun) Light from outside... that would really enhance the whole atmosphere.
- The carpet has a way to high displacement value, also displacement map isn't maybe optimal.
- The planks of the floor texture are way to big
The Barcelona Chair maybe has problems with normals,. check that they all face outside.
In your case as a 3D beginner I would highly recommend you to start rebuilding existing images!
Try to recreate some nice images and train by this your lightning, texturing and modeling skills and your eye for architectural finesse!
Also give it a try to model some object by yourself and not only to take stuff from the Internet to gain some sills in this area and get a better feeling for the objects.
Regarding your age I would recommend to switch to the more complex 3D app Blender, its maybe more complicated, but you end up mastering a tool that is very versatile. Learning such Applications with 30 is much harder, trust me
