Steel Alloys Materials

Hi guys, today I'll do some tests onto different types of Steel Alloys.

This is the first Material: "Stainless Steel 18/10".

I've created it using this composition: 18% Cr.nk + 10% Ni.nk + 72% Fesi2epi.nk

Here is some Wikipedia Info on this Steel:
A typical composition of 18% chromium and 10% nickel, commonly known as 18/10 stainless, is often used in flatware. Similarly, 18/0 and 18/8 are also available.

I'd like to ask you for a favor. While you're at it, could you please check if it is slower to blend
NK files instead using specular reflectivity or single self made NK file. Thanks! ;o))

I've tryied to use the Tinman's Software in the past to create new NK files but it behave in a stange way (maybe it has a bug but Tinman disappeared from the Web :( ) and I prefer to blend measured NK file than trying to create a new one... :roll:

..specially in the IOR values, I get "sinusoids" :shock:

Here is what I get if I read a real NK file and then what I get if I try to feke it... :? :roll:

New Steel Alloy: 40% Fesi2epi.nk + 42% Ni.nk + 38% Fesi2el2.nk.nk

This Steel with high percentage of Nickel is a little bit clearer than the old one and can be used to create Sink etc... :wink:

This Steel with high percentage of Chrome, can be used to create Faucets etc... :wink:
