HELP...trying to render a night scene

Hello All,

I am trying to render a nightscene, when I place the SketchUp model time at 8PM or later...I am getting this weird purple light...any hints or suggestions?

im not sure... wasnt there the restricion that the cant be too far below the horizon or else the sky would get such a purple light?

someone would have to confirm this. try to use an environment map of a nightsky or no / black background.
