Runtime Error, need help!

Post by Pikadili89 » Sun Oct 07, 2012 8:54 pm

Hi guys. I am having some problem with Runtime Error. I didn't have this problem before, but in last few days I started rendering interiors with rectangles as emiters (some deimnesion of 1m x 1.5m or something), enviroment is set to sketchup and black. So the scenes aren't heavy at all, my indigo start up and start rendering but then (sometimes in frist 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 or 60 minutes) I get this Runtime Error and indigo crashes. Anybody had some similar problems? I rendered before much heavier files wtih sun+env map but this is actualy first time I render with sketchup (black is checked) background. I had only one rectangle emiter and one lamp as light layers last scene which didn't crash but as soon as I put another rectangle emiter it crashes. Thanks in advance!

Hi pikadili, can you please state the software versions that you are using currently ?

SketchUp, SkIndigo and Indigo versions please.

Just in case, you will find the latest Indigo (3.4.8 ) in the news and announcements forum.

Since the error is troublesome, you would also be welcome to pack the scene and email it to support<at>indigorenderer<dot>com with the description you made above.

Thank you

Hey CTZn, as far as I remember last time I checked indigo version is 3.4.(something) I think, sketchup is 8 pro and I dunno how to see skindigo's version so I have no clue about it :D . I deleted that problematic scene and made new one in which two difrent rectangle emiters were under one light layer and its working but as soon as I get buggy scene again I am sending it. You have any idea what that could be?

Sounds like it might be overheating perhaps, but I'm not sure; would it be possible for you to send us your scene? This would help a lot in confirming / localising the issue, thanks :)

I deleted it couse I couldn't render it, but as soon as I get on a problematic scene with same error I am sending it imidietly, it was fustrating trying to render and after 30 min it brakes. Now I rendered it with two rectangles in same light layer and it didn't crash. Posting the result in new topic couse I want to see comments and critics of people who don't read this kind of topics. Thanks for your helping guys.
