'till now, I didn't have troubles with finding XP-64bit drivers....

And yeah, the RAM-usage might raise, but you therefore also can use more RAM...
It's DDR2 Ram, but still only 768 MB...

I've been running Vista 64bit for about 5 months now with few problems. Doesn't seem like a dog to me but then again I have 8gigs of ram and rarely see usage go above 57%. I do have some machines at work that I ordered with Vista Business with only 1gig of ram that can be slightly cluncky at times.
