Switching of aperture difraction fixed it - didn't even need to restart the render just disabled apertaur difraction while it was still rendering - man I love Indigo!

Using Blender 2.48a, Blendigo 1.1.14, Indigo 1.1.17 windows 64bit
Relevant Settings are:
Bidrectional
Max Consec Reject: 200 ( Low setting like this helps to reduce fireflies?)
Max Depth: 4000
Floor Material is a Phong with CR.nk and exponent of 400. The Floor is slightly angled to lose the end edge.
This could well be caused by my lack of understanding Indigo but the blodges are strange looking:lol:
By the way this was a 4000x4000 pixel rener left for 1 hour. The blodges didn't appear straight away.
This is my reference, though the last pages should be more instructive than the first, where the problem was new to pretty much everyone.
Hey that's funny, I rendered my first diamond this morning, how did you do that !? I like your shot better...
I did not model the stone, it's known as the Treeble cut I think.

- 1.1.16. I hadn't see that thread at the time... and, it's a "perfect" diamond, it is not absorbing light (that's bad).

ok Big O some feedback about verbose = false
take out all the path and sun stuff and leave something like:
Indigo renderer v11 blah blah
Loading scene ABC.igs
Doing warm up..
Rendering in progress..
-Updating view every 30 secs
-Saving image every 60 secs
-will terminate at 1500 samples/pixel
100s/p done..
200s/p done..

Re: Indigo 1.1.17
Thanks, but then providing a 64 bit Linux build would be niceOnoSendai wrote: * Fixed JPEGs not working in 64 bit Linux build.

Were does one set the verbose parameter? Is it in indigo ini?
Code: Select all
<config>
<renderer_settings>
<metropolis>false</metropolis>
<bidirectional>true</bidirectional>
<verbose>false</verbose>
<downsize_filter>
<!--<box/>-->
<mn_cubic>
<ring>0.2</ring>
<blur>0.6</blur>
</mn_cubic>
<!--<gaussian></gaussian>-->
</downsize_filter>
<super_sample_factor>2</super_sample_factor>
<aperture_diffraction>true</aperture_diffraction>
<post_process_diffraction>true</post_process_diffraction>
</renderer_settings>
</config>

True, it's not documented, although some have showed they know, great :/pixie wrote:Were does one set the verbose parameter? Is it in indigo ini?
Looks like a nice spot pixie, if that doesn't seem to work then put it directly in the renderer settings of the igs file, if any (else what it's fine to stick with inifile). I can't imagine a better place for that tag
and edit: great, thanks a lot for the log Ono !
