I have a suggestion

Since the Indigo community speaks several languages it might be a good idea to appoint translators who will translate interesting articles/faqs/tuts to their own language. I dont know if this job is enough to justify a new profile for each language, though, and i dont know if and how it could be possible to manage all the multiplied articles.

I am not applying to this profile if my idea is accepted, my schedule can't accomodate the added workload it would require

Although if no one wants to be the french translator i could do some work from time to time, but dont count on me . French is my first language

I would like to help, but I think I do not have the competence to manage one of your profile (perhaps in the future).

Secondly, it is impossible to upload a file in your forum, that means that it is too much time comsuming trying to explain a problem.

It would be really nice to upload an openoffice or a word document with some pictures and some parameters to explain some experiences, problems, and so on,
This would also make easyer to develop a good documentation.

What I could do for the comunity at this time is to prepare some goog obj models.
(really good, and precise)
But where to post them?

Maybe an FTP or file server would be good, there are many php templates that work with ftp servers, each user with their own account, or create a public folder...

The only thing is that we don't know what limitations the server this website is hosted on has...., I have my FTP server here at home, I would be glad to donate some GB and a bit of bandwith, but, I'll be moving out of Yucatan soon and back to my hometown here in Mexico, so I don't know how long it will take me to setup a new server and all

I would like to precise some things about the volume of the files.

1 uploading some text document with pictures.

Here is an example about what I mean. Right now I am playing with different parameters in Indigo to see how they are influencing the results.
The size of such dokument could vary between 500 Kb and 5 MB



In my opinion this is easyer and quicker than uploading 4 separate pictures.
Such results could also be used for the F.A.Q.
I can imagine some pictures in the Answer

2 uploading some good obj model

This will be much bigger than a document.
The best 3D format would be step, whicj is really small but most of the modeller does not import this.
A gould obj scene could vary between 10MB to 200MB
