Since she's a plastic doll, you could make her hair a solid piece of plastic as well.

Yeah...I realize materials are the skilled part of the rendering, but I've given up on Indigo for my arch VIZ work (for a while at least). There's a difference between skill and getting the job done. It takes too long to tweak materials and it is ceraintly about as user friendly as a piece of cabbag...

Hey..out of curiosity, when is the next version of Indigo due out? Like...are we talking months..weeks?

I'm loving this multimaterial thing...but I agree, we do need something to help do semi-transparent object like cloth and lampshades.

Well, at least we knew it worked at one point...is this considered a bug then, or is it known about?

Sorry...new to Indigo and I don't know what the developer/s do or don't know.

Gain bug in Max2Indigo v.615

Hey...I'm really digging Max2Indigo...It works very nicely except I think I found a bug. Upon rendering a mesh emitter, it was always dim..even after cranking the gain up in the millions. After looking at the XML, it appears that it kep on exporting my gain of 1000000 as 10. Is this a bug, or is it ...

Wait a minute....I have it working. Gosh Darnit all! Max2Indigo has a bug. It exports the Gain out at 10...not 1000000...I had to change it in the XML and it worked.

(Looks like I think it should) The scale is very very large...this house here is over 1000 feet deep. http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/5443/emitter01rr1.th.jpg *(EDIT)* The abo...

Thanks for the reply... I'm using Max2Indigo v.615 in 3D Studio MAX I could give you settings, but the main problem I'm having is with the scale and the lighting interacting with that. I need to scale it up big time for anything to work. The mesh emitter is cranked up to the hightest it can be and e...

has anybody ever successfully used sunlight & mesh emitt

I ask this because I can't get it for the life of me. I max out my Gain...nothing different. If I change my system scale, then it works...but now my camera is screwed up because it's so small. Am I missing something here? In all the examples I've seen, I don't think I"ve seen any sunlight+mesh emitt...

Wait...I actually ADDED smoothing groups to it, and it looks fine now. Mmm...usually smoothing groups screw my scene up. Could this be the problem, or is it just a coincedence?

Dark spots in objects

Hello all! I'm having a problem with some objects in 3D studio. I'm using U3d's exporter...so I don't know if it's the exporter or Indigo in general http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/7664/defaultcn3.th.png The attached image is a countertop that I have...notice the black corner on it. This is on th...

Thank you for the advice...unfortunately, making the F-Stop 32 didn't fix it...although it did help.
