I´ve been using UltraEdit (syntax highlighting, good search & replace, macros, and a gazillion other functions) for many years now. Saves a 100 MB XML in about 1-2 secs, editing is real time.

Oh, it looks like I'm late, I wasn't near an internet connection in the past week... could you please post deadlines for such future contests in advance? Thanks! Anyways, I'll post mine if that's not a problem: http://deeppixel.uw.hu/misc/indigo_preview2.jpg It has round as well as flat surfaces, th...

Yep, can't wait for a nice material preview thingie too! Thanks for all the contributors. But I do have to say that the number of materials achievable with Indigo is rather limited, insomuch that there are no procedural materials at all, and there is only one mapping mode for image textures (UV). At...

Actually I was going to request something like this... :) Just finished with the letter I, that's just over halway through! Should be up on the webpage in...

Okay, update today:
with a few exceptions, I'm done up to the letter D, almost one-third of the materials - yay!
Plus a facelift, getting things organized:

Zom-B: Yes, I think you're right. Grouping is more of an eye candy :) Unfortunately it does take more work for seperate pictures, all 280 of them. Anyways, I think I'll go with that version, it is more useful after all as a material preview. I already have the letter "C" in this version, I'll post i...

NK data file previews - FINISHED
Okay, so I decided to go through the NK data files that come with Indigo, and see which ones work. I'll use this thread to post previews of the materials that do work. As this is a long rendering task, it'll probably take 2 weeks or so, so this is a continually updated thread. Format: I decided to r...

Thanks for that link! In the meanwhile, I have already started going through the list and trying them out. In fact, I've decided to list them all, and in time render a preview of each one that works. It also seems possible to convert some non-working ones into ones that work - by conversion of units...

Great!! Very good article, introduction to Indigo, materials, lighting, exporting, everything! A few things, in the "B. The <Phong> Material" part, you wrote: "(0 = glossy, 5110 = non-glossy, or anything in between)" That should be the other way around: 0 = non-glossy (dull), 5110 = glossy "NOTE: yo...

radiance: Yeah, I saw these screenshots up on the documentation page, no text yet, but thanks for the screenshots! Those made me understand the basic Indigo materials. Another question: i see the transparent tag was removed, so thats the reason why my RayMirror materials were rendered black - as the...

- The exportor does not export texture files but the texture reference. You can apply a "COL"-"UV"-"Image" texture in blender and then move the exported XML together with the image file to indigo (same dir). Ah OK, thanks, so only UV textures... well that's a setback, I hope the regular Blender map...

First of all, thanks for the coder(s) of both Indigo and the export script! It is looking very promising, I have already rerendered some of my older projects with it. Some remarks though: - No texture maps. The exporter doesn't export any textures. - If the RayMirror of a material is turned on, the ...
