Hmm ... every specular material in the beam produces some problems. I have now a little bit complexer test. The light divider are blended materials (blend01, blend02) - mirror / null. I have used 75% null and 25 % mirror to get a 50% / 50% division. (visually) :?: I have no specular tests online! Th...

I have changed only the material. All other settings are the same. 25m rendering on 3 PCs. After such a time it should look better. I'll try it with the phong and higher IOR. EDIT: Yes! With a phong and IOR 100 I get a nice reflection. Thank you :!: Image after 6 minutes (I have changed only the mir...

Thank you for your help, but it doesn't work with a nontransparent Specular. Indigo starts to produce a lot of errors. :( Could you point me to some documentation of the "peak light"? And yes I know that the laser is only a fake and not parallel, but for testing and my needs it's more than enought. ;)

EDIT: Null material is not transparent with bidir on. Try your grass tutorial with bidir on.OnoSendai wrote:Looks alright to me, where's the problem?
CTZn was right. The problem was the bidir. (Thanks for your help)
I have rendered it now with Metropolis only and it's looks ok.
Here's the Metropolis render:

Problem: Blended material to null
Hi, I'm testing the way to use "alpha maps". I have blended a white diffuse material with a null material. The shadow looks good, but the null material is rendered as a gray material. the code: <material> <name>null</name> <null_material/> </material> <material> <name>Material.001</name> <diffuse> <...

Hi SmartDen, I would have some suggestions, too. 1. Change "Blend map" in "Blended material" to a relative path. (Like other albedo maps) 2. A file selector for nkdata. (not only a text field, could take only the filename without a path) 3. A textfield to expand the execution code for indigo. (for p...

... I've no idea, what you mean with "Final Gathering" but you *can* use only glowing objects to light a scene. ("Mesh emitter") Your specular+phong is definately better as specular+diffuse ;) try to make the specular transparent ;) You also could try to blend the specular with a diffuse transmitte...

I'm exploring indigo for some days now and have found a bug. If you blend a specular material with a textured (albedo) diffuse, than some photons are tunneling the object. Without a texture the blend material works like expected. Here is a blend material specular/diffuse (without albedo) after 25 mi...

I'm a reader in this forum for some days, but never created an account. But now i found a bug in indigo, but searched for "hours" to register. ;) With a click on "post" i found a way to register. But that was not intuitive. With the link in the registration mail I jumped to the webpage and discovere...
